Structural Designer (0-3 years of experience)

Build your engineering foundation through hands-on project work and guidance from experienced engineers. You’ll participate in structural analysis, design, detailing, and construction support while developing your technical skills and engineering judgment.

What you’ll do

• Prepare calculations and assist with structural analysis and design.
• Help develop drawings, details, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with engineers and BIM staff to produce construction documents.
• Assist with field observations, submittal reviews, and responses to contractor questions.

What you’ll bring

• A bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering with an emphasis in structures; a master’s degree is highly desirable.
• A strong foundation in structural engineering courses and a willingness to learn.
• Clear communication, good organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software and drafting or BIM tools.
• EIT certification or successful completion of the FE exam preferred.

Annual base salary: $75,000–$90,000.

Design Engineer (3-6 years of experience)

Take ownership of structural design tasks and defined portions of projects while working closely with project engineers and principals. This role suits an engineer ready to apply sound judgment, develop practical solutions, and assume greater responsibility.

What you’ll do

• Analyze and design structural systems, components, connections, and foundations.
• Develop coordinated calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Evaluate existing conditions and recommend design or strengthening solutions.
• Coordinate technical requirements with architects, consultants, and contractors.
• Support construction administration and help guide less experienced staff.

What you’ll bring

• A degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• Relevant structural engineering experience demonstrating increasing design responsibility.
• Working knowledge of applicable building codes, seismic requirements, and material design standards.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and experience coordinating construction documents.
• EIT certification required; PE licensure or ability to obtain initial license within a year.
• The ability to manage assigned tasks, communicate clearly, and meet project deadlines.

Annual base salary: $85,000-$110,000

Project Engineer (6+ years of experience)

Lead the technical delivery and day-to-day coordination of structural engineering projects, with support from our principals. This role combines engineering depth, team leadership, and direct collaboration with clients and project partners.

What you’ll do

• Establish structural design approaches and lead projects from concept through construction.
• Oversee calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports for technical quality and coordination.
• Organize team assignments and monitor scope, schedules, and engineering budgets.
• Serve as a primary technical contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Guide and review the work of designers and design engineers.
• Identify project challenges early and develop practical solutions with the project team.

What you’ll bring

• A degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience delivering structural projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong engineering judgment and knowledge of structural systems, seismic design, and construction practices.
• PE licensure required, with California licensure particularly valued; SE licensure is a plus.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and project coordination skills.

Annual base salary: $100,000-$130,000.
