Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District, Headquarters Seismic Evaluation

Lake Elsinore, CA

This project consisted of an evaluation of the water district’s headquarters for potential hazards when subjected to a code based earthquake in a relatively high seismic region.  Dan’s seismic evaluation demonstrated vulnerabilities in the original construction of the buildings and potential risk when subjected to a seismic event. The client was provided a full seismic evaluation of the facility, identification of non-conforming construction, recommendations for repair, and cost estimates for construction risk mitigation.

City of San Diego – Pump Station 2

San Diego, CA

The JGEG team worked in design-build capacity to seismically certify equipment being installed in this Risk Category IV facility.  Additionally JGEG provided equipment anchorage design for all equipment to be installed on site.

During construction, the general contractor for the facility was held at a standstill due to improper installation of the structural steel roof framing for multiple buildings in the campus.  Our team was on-board to design code compliant repair procedures and assist the GC in negotiating acceptance of these repairs with the City to move the project forward.

East Mesa Reentry Facility
